The "Work" of this contract is titled and is described in the Contract Documents including the plans and specifications and shall be referred to for detailed requirements of the work involved. The "Work" generally includes but is not limited to the following: This project contains two (2) bidding items. A base bid and additive bid item number ones (1). The base bid items includes the replacement of the central hydronic cooling equipment included the two (2) cell induced draft cooling tower, its support frame, a single (1) water cooled centrifugal chiller, two (2) duty/standby heat pump loop pumps, two (2) duty/standby primary condenser water pumps, two (2) duty/standby chiller condenser water pumps, two (2) duty/standby chilled water pumps, two (2) duty/standby heating hot water pumps, heat pump condenser water cooling tube and shell heat exchanger, main condenser water packaged solids separator and 80 gpm circulation pump, main condenser water pump inlet floor-mounted basket strainers, refrigerant monitor alarm, the three (3) way controls valves for the associated systems. The existing Microzone controllers for the above highlighted equipment will be replaced with BAS Controls Systems (Schneider Electric) BACnet programmable controllers. The BAS scope also includes a new N5 Schneider Electric Jace 9000 Network Area Controller to be installed in the location indicated on the drawings. Additive bid item number one (1) includes the replacement of the two (2) gas fired fire water tube boilers. The new boilers are sealed combustion, and the work includes two (2) new dedicated combustion air ducts and reworking of the existing exhaust air ducts to tie into the existing combined flue system. The existing heating shell and tube heat exchanger will be replaced with a plate and frame heat exchanger.
