**As of January 8, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project is titled "SCVWA Filter Rehabilitation Project Phase 2" at the Earl Schmidt Filtration Plant, 32700 N. Lake Hughes Rd in Castaic. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to: removal and disposal of existing anthracite, support gravel, and underdrains; demolition, removal and disposal of existing nozzle underdrain tiles; demolition, removal, and disposal of raised relief on concrete filter bottom; pour back of a minimum of 5 inches of 5000 psi concrete to specified elevation (scarify as needed to ensure minimum 5 inches of depth); surface preparation of all specified surfaces of the filter basin; replacement of existing concrete joint seals; application of protective coating to all specified surfaces of the filter basin; installation of new, Owner-furnished underdrains; installation of Owner-furnished silica filter sand and anthracite filter media; and all associated work as indicated in the Contract Documents and Specifications on filters #6. Additionally, for filters #7 through #10, the work includes similar removal, surface preparation, replacement, protective coating, and installation steps as described above. Physical Bid Security must be submitted to SCV Water at their office by the Bid Due Date and Time. Bidders are responsible for receipt of all addenda and must sign and return acknowledgment(s) of all addenda with the submitted bid. Failure to do so could render the bid as nonresponsive and bar award of the contract.
