The Town of Wendell (Town) is soliciting statements of qualification (SOQ) through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from professional design consulting firms (Consultant) to provide professional services for special inspection and testing services. In partnership with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, the Town of Wendell is transforming the historic school building into the Carver Community Center at Pleasant Grove. Designed by Andre Johnson Architects, the facility will include spaces for recreation, community gatherings, and programming by Wendell's Parks and Recreation Department, preserving the site's historic character while creating a modern community hub. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe, accessible, and vibrant space for educational, recreational, and social programs, strengthening community engagement and honoring the cultural heritage of the site. To achieve these goals, the Town requires comprehensive special inspections and materials testing to ensure structural integrity, code compliance, and long-term safety.
