The City of Los Altos is seeking proposals from qualified architects and engineers to perform a solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) feasibility study at the Grant Park Community Center (1575 Holt Avenue). The study requires an evaluation of each buildings roof and structural capacity individually, and a collective assessment of overall energy consumption and load profiles for the entire facility. The scope of work includes reviewing the existing electrical infrastructure and PG&E interconnection requirements, developing conceptual rooftop system layouts, and delivering planning-level recommendations regarding system sizing, resiliency, island-mode operation, demand-response compatibility, costs, and implementation steps.
