Site work and new construction of an industrial development in Little Rock, Arkansas. Working plans call for the construction of a 30,000-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development; and 30,000-square-foot, one-story above grade industrial development.
The Little Rock Port Authority requests qualifications from firms interested in providing professional Construction Management services for the construction of a rail-to-truck transload facility, two 30,000 sf warehouses, and necessary site improvements. The project includes NEPA studies and clearance, engineering design services, construction of 5300 feet of track and 5 turnouts, installation of a fall arrest system, rail scales, construction of an access road, and application of a Class 7 aggregate base course for the yard. Services are required for pre-construction and construction activities including design review, scheduling, cost control and value engineering, constructability evaluation, advice regarding dividing the project into more than one contract, preparation and coordination of bid phase documents, and construction administration and supervision. Firms must demonstrate their qualifications as to education, experience, and credentials and present a proposed project action plan. Firms must be familiar with Federal, State, and Local policies and procedures pertaining to the project, which is funded in part by the Federal Railroad Administration.
