All tenders must be accompanied by a tender guarantee equivalent to 10% of the total tender amount excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of a certified cheque, bank draft, irrevocable letter of guarantee, postal order or bid bond valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of bids and issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a license issued in accordance with the Insurance Act (RLRQ, c. A-32) authorizing it to engage in surety insurance, a trust company holding a license issued under the Trust and Savings Companies Act (RLRQ, c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (RLRQ, c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), otherwise the bid will be automatically rejected.
