Madison Water Utility (MWU), working in conjunction with Strand Associates, Inc. (SAI), wishes to solicit bids for the interior and exterior repainting of two municipal water storage reservoirs, and associated modifications as described in the attached construction plans and project specifications. Coating projects require competent, financially solvent Contractors who complete projects on time. These projects deal with the health and safety of the public, have a short availability time, and is dangerous work; therefore, the City will only consider prequalified Contractors. Bidders not prequalified may be considered non-responsive and bids may not be opened. The estimated opinions of probable construction costs are $1,737,000 for Reservoir 20 and $607,000 for Reservoir 225 as per Addendum 1
