The City of Pasadena is seeking to procure labor and materials for fiber optic installation services city wide to support our Public Parks Wi-Fi Expansion Project. This project will consist of installation of fiber optic cable and related innerduct or microduct in the Water and Power Department's high voltage underground distribution substructure and on aerial plant facilities. The major portion of the work shall be within the City of Pasadena, with a fraction of the possible installation work in unincorporated areas adjacent to the Pasadena city limits. The City requires installation of traditional innerduct, aerial innerduct, and loose tube fiber optic cable and installation of microduct and jetting of microcable. The City will furnish the traditional HDPE innerduct, aerial innerduct, microduct, and loose tube and air-blown fiber optic cable to be installed. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and services, including tools, transportation, and materials (except the cable and innerduct noted above, which will be provided by the City), necessary for installation of the innerduct and fiber optic cable. Additionally, the City requires fielding (survey) of power conduit systems to identify capacity for future fiber installation projects and to document existing fiber optic installations.
