This project consists of excavation and backfill, stormwater management basin construction, stockpile area clearing, stormwater drainage ditches and diversion berms, and erosion and sedimentation controls for the approximately 2.1 acre Phase 5 expansion. Earthwork quantities are estimated to be 45,275 Cu. Yd. of cut and 16,200 Cu. Yd. of fill. All bidders are notified that the provisions of NCGS 143-128, including guidelines for minority business enterprise participation shall be observed in letting and executing the work. Bidders are also notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work. Bid Security: Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract shall be submitted prior to executing the work. Event bid description: If a Bid is sent by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate package plainly marked on the outside with the notation "BID ENCLOSED - FY26 LF PHASE 5" and shall be addressed to Cabarrus County County Manager's Office / Procurement Department, Attn: Thomas Nunn.
