Install a new, fully functional, variable refrigerant flow system units in order to control climate in various areas of the sleeping quarters of the Fire Station. The completion date shall be no later than 90 days after notice to proceed. PECIFIC REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall: o Remove the two current heat pump systems outside of building 201, the Fire Station. o Remove a total of 13 mini split head units, including their corresponding wall mounted thermostat o Remove the two current refrigerant manifolds located in the ceiling of the living quarters of the building where the work is being performed o Install a new 15-ton variable refrigerant flow, three pipe, system to manufacture specification in the area where the previous heat pump systems were located. o Install a new refrigerant manifold (branch circuit controller) in place of the two manifolds that were previously removed o Install a total of 13, 1-ton mini split heads, one per living quarter in addition to their corresponding wall mounted thermostat. o Must be a three-wire wall mounted thermostat in order to have simultaneous heating and cooling capabilities. o Charge the system with the appropriate amount of refrigerant recommended by the manufacturer in order to operate at its maximum efficiency. o Provide commissioning and startups IAW with this SOW. o Secure their work area at the end of each day to ensure the safety of the occupants while the contractors and subcontractors are off the premises o This shall include, but is not limited to: performing basic cleanliness procedures such as sweeping and disposing of waste, securing tools and materials, posting cautionary signage if necessary, etc. o Provide their own lavatory throughout the duration of the Period of Performance CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS The Contractor shall be normally engaged in HVAC, as their primary line of business and shall have at least 5 years of documented experience working on Air Conditioning systems.
