Site work for a development in Fruitland Park, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.
Professional engineering services are required for the Arbor Park Phase 1 Community Development District's capital improvement plan, which includes stormwater management system, landscaping improvements, utilities, roadway improvements, and other public improvements authorized by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The selected engineering firm will act as the District Engineer and provide engineering services as needed. Applicants must hold applicable federal, state, and local licenses, be authorized to do business in Florida, and submit a Qualification Statement on U.S. General Service Administrations Architect-Engineer Qualifications, Standard Form No. 330, with supporting data. Information required includes the ability and adequacy of professional personnel, certified minority business enterprise status, willingness to meet time and budget requirements, relevant past experience and performance (especially as a District Engineer or with the City of Fruitland Park/Lake County, FL), geographic location of offices, current/projected workloads, and volume of prior work with the District. Each applicant must also identify the individual who would handle meetings, construction services, and engineering tasks. Submission must include one unbound and one electronic copy of Standard Form No. 330 and the Qualification Statement. The Board will select and rank applicants using criteria as per the Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act, Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, and based on evaluation criteria on file. The highest-ranked applicant will be invited to contract negotiations, with processes in place if agreement cannot be reached. The District may reject any or all Qualification Statements and will not reimburse expenses for preparation or submittal. Protests regarding the notice or evaluation criteria must follow specified procedures and include a protest bond of $10,000. Additional protest requirements are detailed in the District's Rules of Procedure available from the District Manager.
