Site work for a water / sewer project in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for the construction of the following: removal of pumps, piping, and appurtenances from the Carey Johnson Circle Pumping Station; installation of a new fiber reinforced polymer wetwell, new pumps, piping, valves, and appurtenances for the rehabilitation of the pumping station; installation of a new 100-gpm sewage pumping station on Hatton Still Road along with approximately 56 linear feet of 4-inch force main; installation of approximately 2,073 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer and 8 manholes; and abandonment of existing sewer manholes and the Willow Street Pumping Station. Construction time allotted is 180 consecutive calendar days. All bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state “Utility Manager” certificate holder for oversight. Proposals must be submitted using the provided form with prices in words and figures. Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Hazlehurst, Georgia, for at least 5% of the lump sum bid. If awarded, the Bidder must execute a contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds each equal to 100% of the contract amount. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages. This project is subject to all applicable Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, and all necessary manufacturers’ certifications must be provided for reimbursement. Plans and specifications must be obtained as described; the City of Hazlehurst reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
