The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and plant for the construction of the wastewater treatment plant improvements, onsite lift station improvements, and liquid chemical conversion including but not limited to: lift station pump replacement and structural modifications; main process basins piping improvements; liquid chemical feed equipment, piping, CMU building with metal canopy chemical storage area; electrical; controls; demolition items; pavement; site grading and drainage; and site restoration as specified. Provide all labor, material and equipment required for the installation of complete and functioning electrical systems as specified and shown on the drawings. B. Intent. The intention of the drawings and specifications is to establish the types of systems and functions, but not to set forth each item essential to the functioning of the system. In case of doubt as to the work intended or if amplification or clarification is needed, request instructions from the Engineer. C. Principal Systems. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following principal systems and equipment: 1. 480/277 volt distribution 2. 120/240 volt distribution 3. Motor Control Center modifications 4. Lighting fixtures and lamps 5. Receptacles 6. Grounding system 7. All other electrical work and materials to provide for a complete and working installation. D. Demolition. Refer to Division 2, Site work for other demolition requirements. 1. Remove all unused conduit to the extent necessary to accommodate new work and where conduit is visible above the floor line. Existing unused conduit which is concealed, or which does not interfere with the work may remain in place. Seal abandoned lines that remain in place behind walls or floor surfaces. Remove all existing unused wires. 2. Remove light fixtures, receptacles, wall switches, panel boards, switch gear, transformers, motor controllers, conduit, and wire from all areas indicated to be demolished. 3. All materials and equipment to be demolished, except items specifically listed to be relocated or delivered to the Owner, become the property of the Contractor. 4. Existing electrical services and controls to items to be removed by others must be disconnected as a requirement to this section. 5. Removal of any equipment must not interfere with operations in the existing facility.
