As of January 5, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The Board will make the final decision at their next meeting is on January 13, 2026. The proposed work includes: to construct approximately 1900 feet of 5-foot wide ADA and MoDOT compliant sidewalks, crosswalks, and lighting. The proposed project begins at the intersection of Hickory Street and Dallas Street where it connects to MoDOT ADA improvements constructed in 2016, tying the project to the Lawrence County courthouse and city center. From this point the project continues south along both sides of Hickory Street for approximately 950 feet. The project terminates at Cherry Street. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of his/her base bid which is subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The DBE Goal for this project is 0 %. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
