George Palade Laboratories (GPL) / Cellular and Molecular Medicine West Building (CMMW) was recently inspected for failed and/or weathered painted areas on various exterior metallic surfaces. The scope of the project is to remove and replace coatings on specific areas of exterior metal building component surfaces to restore the building to like-new conditions to the greatest extent possible. Work includes repaint of exterior metal building components, including railings and handrails; exterior faces of metal doors and frames; exterior fire sprinkler piping and hangers; and underside of the metal roof, including exterior metal columns. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, listed in the latest published State of California, Department of Insurance, list of Insurers Admitted to Transact Surety Insurance in This State. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: C-33 PAINTING AND DECORATING CONTRACTOR Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy.
