2025-019 Sanders Rd Drainage Improvements The Town Will Not Be Responsible for the Failure of a Prospective Bidder to Obtain Addenda and Other Information Related to the Ifb. All Proposals Become Property of the Town of Marana Upon Submission and Are Subject to Arizona Public Records Law. The Sanders Road drainage project will enhance the existing drainage that runs on the east side of Sanders Road from Emigh to Twin Peaks by installing new portions of concrete-lined and rip-rap-lined channel sections. New Guardrail will be installed along a portion of the road as well as replacing a small strip of pavement adjacent to the drainage channel. This project is located along a major access route to Marana High School. During the school year, this road will experience extremely heavy traffic for a short period in both the morning and afternoon. The Contractor shall plan for these workflows in their schedule. Sanders Road shall not be closed and shall remain open during construction. The Town of Marana will be responsible for residential and commercial notification two full weeks in advance of any work commencing. The Contractor is required to submit a project schedule at least three weeks prior to anticipated start date of construction and updated every two weeks thereafter. No work will commence without prior residential/commercial notification and Town of Marana schedule acceptance. Schedule updates will be required after any schedule change to provide adequate notification. No schedule will be allowed to change, except cancellations, without a five day notification period. Message boards shall be placed along arterial roads a minimum of five calendar days prior to the start of construction. The contractor will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of the variable message boards. A traffic control plan will be required for each element/phase of work. No work shall commence prior to the acceptance of the traffic control plan. Two coats of paint are required for all striping contained within the project. The final coat shall be applied for a minimum of thirty (30) days after the first application. The quantities in the bidding schedule for striping provide an in-place measurement. Bidders are cautioned that two coats of paint are required. The cost for two coats should be included in the corresponding unit price. Unit prices will be paid according to the widths shown on the bid schedule. Certificates of Compliance and Certificates of Analysis shall be presented to the Project Manager / Construction Inspector for each load material delivered to the project. Failure to provide the above paperwork will result in the load being placed in reject status. No water source will be provided. The contractor is responsible for acquiring staging areas. No location will be provided by the Town of Marana. Saw cutting shall be considered incidental to the contract, no separate pay item will be provided. Saw cuts shall be kept to the minimum required to complete the task to avoid excess damage to the road and minimize traffic impacts. The contractor shall be responsible for quality control. The contractor shall supply the Town with all required materials testing information. The list of required tests and frequencies is as follows: Shotcrete compression testing every 100CY - provide for 20 samples (panels and cores), Soil Density testing - includes proctors - 30 tests. Full payment to the contractor will be contingent upon acceptable test results. The "Removal of Structure and obstructions" line item includes all removal items on the project. This includes trees/shrubs, miscellaneous concrete, and any other item required to be removed and disposed of. All materials hauled off the project site must be disposed of in a lawful manner.
