The work involves the Washington Academic Middle School Cafeteria Remodel lease-leaseback contract. Proposals must be submitted as sealed proposals by the deadline. The scope includes a base proposal with several additive alternates: Alternate Item No. 1: All associated work including a furred wall, soffit and column framing and finishes, ceiling changes in the lower southern area of Student Dining as shown in specified sheets. These ceiling changes replace the base bid painting of the ceiling in the affected area. Alternate Item No. 2: All associated work including furred walls, new ceilings in the main student dining area, soffit above the server, and finishes as indicated in specified sheets. These ceiling changes replace the base bid painting of the ceiling in the affected area. Alternate Item No. 3: New electrical pathway for the fire alarm system back to the main F.A.C.P., per the electrical drawings and site plan. The District reserves the right to add or deduct any of the alternates after the lowest responsive and responsible lump sum proposal is determined. All contractors must attend a mandatory pre-proposal conference to be eligible. Proposals must comply with various public works, licensing, and bond requirements. Bonds required include a 100% Payment Bond and a 100% Faithful Performance Bond. Contractor must have a Class "A" or "B" license at the time of award and maintain licensure. Proposals must be accompanied by a proposal bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least 10% of the base proposal.
