LTBB is seeking an individual or firm to provide Residential and Commercial Electrical Inspections for a four-year commitment, with each year contingent upon yearly awarded funding and need. The services must include providing Commercial and Residential Electrical Code Inspection and Review Services, conducting inspections within twenty-four hours’ notice, performing inspections between 8 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday, and providing inspection reports to the LTBB Planning Department. In person inspections are preferred, but video/phone and photo documentation inspections may occur with approval. All inspections must comply with LTBB Construction codes, currently State of Michigan Codes adopted by reference with amendments. Inspectors may be called upon as Expert Witnesses. All personnel must be fully licensed and certified, with a minimum of three years’ inspection experience. Each year, the magnitude of the scope will depend on the number and type of projects anticipated. Responses must include a letter of understanding, company profile, resumes for key staff, references, and a list of similar projects. The project approach should detail tasks, timeline, and deliverables, with subcontractor tasks clearly designated. Pricing should include hourly or flat rates per inspection type, per-trip/travel expenses, and any additional charges. Preference will be given to Indian-owned, minority/women-owned, and small businesses, with required documentation. Proof of insurance, licenses, and any documentation needed for preferences must be provided. Only complete submissions will be considered, and evaluation will be based on experience, ability, method, rate, tribal/government experience, references, location, legal history, and ownership preference.
