LTBB is seeking an individual or firm to provide Residential and Commercial Mechanical Inspections for a four-year commitment, with each year contingent upon funding and need. The magnitude depends on the number and type of projects each year. If only certified or licensed for either residential or commercial, indicate which. The required services are: providing Commercial and Residential Mechanical Code Inspection and Review Services, conducting inspections within twenty-four-hour notice, availability for inspections between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, preference for in-person inspections (with video/phone and photo documentation accepted with approval), submitting inspection reports to the LTBB Planning Department, ensuring all inspections comply with LTBB Construction codes (currently State of Michigan Codes with amendments), possibly serving as an expert witness for related items, and ensuring that any individual or employee providing inspections or reviews is fully licensed and certified. Service availability is required from January 5, 2026, through December 31, 2029. Responses must follow the required format, including: a letter of understanding, company profile, key staff identification, resumes and experience for related projects, references (minimum three), a list of similar projects, project approach (detailing tasks, timeline, deliverables, and subcontractor work if applicable), price for each service including hourly/flat rates and travel expenses, documentation for any preference claims (Native American, minority, women, or small business owned), certificates of insurance, and copies of current licenses. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
