Cary is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: Cary is soliciting proposals from engineering and architectural firms (Professional) for design, bidding, and construction administration services related to proposed Dixon Avenue Convenience Center (Convenience Center) Site Relocation. Question Deadline 11/19/2025 at 3:00 PM ET All questions related to this solicitation must be submitted in writing via email to Jan Patterson, Sr. Project Manager, at Jan.Patterson@carync.gov. Indicate RFQ #354-TM26-11 - Questions in the subject of the email. Questions submitted via telephone will not be answered. The existing Dixon Avenue Convenience Center provides collection services for residential solid waste, bulk waste, comingled recycling, scrap metal, electronic waste, food waste, and yard waste. All services except yard waste are on the North Carolina Railroad right-of-way and require relocation by December 31, 2026. It is anticipated the yard waste will remain in the same location but require relocation of the ingress and egress for residential and commercial vehicles. The other solid waste services will require complete relocation to a new area on the Dixon site or to an alternative site. The existing Convenience Center will remain in service providing continued uninterrupted service to the public until December 31, 2026. The goal is to have the relocated Convenience Center in operation by that time. Cary reserves the right to reject any or all proposals for any reason and to waive any informality it deems in its best interest. Any requirements in the RFQ that cannot be met must be indicated in the proposal. Proposers must respond to the entire Request for Qualifications (RFQ). An incomplete proposal may be eliminated from consideration at the discretion of Cary. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
