The work includes patching, sealing, striping, and crack filling at the following locations: Durham County Cooperative Extension, Durham County Community Shelter, Durham County EMS 6 Building, Durham County General Services Building, The Durham County Main Fueling Station, and Durham County Main Library. PROJECT: Cooperative Extension Building - Asphalt repair in 2 locations at the rear entry of the parking lot. Fill cracks and seal asphalt parking and repaint striping in parking lot. SCOPE OF WORK: o Fill all asphalt cracks with proper sealer and reseal the entire parking area. Once set, stripe lot as directed by County Representative. o Remove broken asphalt and test existing subgrade. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work on this project shall be covered by a Single Prime Contract. BASE CONTRACT: The Work includes furnishing of all materials and labor necessary for the completion of the Project: Crack filling, resealing and restripe parking lot at Cooperative Extension as shown on the plans and as outlined in these specifications. Complete asphalt repair as indicated by attached photo for repair area. The scope includes all work indicated or implied by the drawings or specifications. It includes all items that may not be specifically shown but are required for a complete and finished job or may be required by codes or regulations. Instructions to bidders: Bidders must submit sealed bids as instructed. Contractors must be licensed to do work in the State of North Carolina under the Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting, and the North Carolina License number must be designated on the outside of the envelope. A 5% Performance Bond is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $500,000.00. Instructions for submitting bids, specifications, and a complete description of the work and necessary materials can be examined at the project manager's office by scheduling with the project manager. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive informalities, and/or accept such bid as appears in its judgment to be in the best interest of the County.
