The awarded contractor agrees to provide the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform removal of the existing asbestos containing roofing system and installation of a new polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) roof system at the Bellflower DMV Field Office for the term of this Agreement. The Contractor is responsible for field verifying all dimensions and existing site conditions pertinent to this Agreement. The bidder shall possess a valid C-39 contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Contractors State License Board (CSLB). In addition, the bidder shall either possess a valid C22 contractor license issued by the CSLB or a valid ASB Certification issued by the CSLB that is registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), to perform asbestos abatement work, or subcontract out asbestos abatement work to a subcontractor that possesses either a valid C22 contractors license issued by the CSLB or both a valid C-39 contractor license issued by the CSLB and a valid ASB Certification issued by the CSLB that is registered with the DIR, DOSH. All subcontractors that the bidder intends to utilize to perform work under the contract shall possess all applicable contractor licenses and certifications for the work they perform under the contract. The bidders contractor license number shall be indicated on the Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet (Attachment 1). The names of all subcontractors that the bidder intends to utilize and their contractors license number (if applicable) shall be indicated on the Bidder Declaration & Subcontractor/Supplier List (Attachment 4). All bidder and subcontractor contractor licenses and certifications shall be in good standing from the time of the bid opening through the term of the contract.
