Construction includes: a. Installation of an 8" main line master meter and electric control valve assembly at the Route 89/Maple Grove Church Road intersection. b. Installation of a 6" main line master meter and electric control valve assembly on Oak Grove Church Road. c. Replacement of approximately 74 existing water service meters. All Bidders are required to submit a 5% Bid Security with their bid. Upon award of contract, a separate performance bond and payment bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. Doc note: Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $ 100.00 for each set. A CD or link containing PDF files of the Bidding Documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "The Lane Group". Upon request and receipt of the document fee indicated above, Bidding Documents may be picked up at the Issuing Office or transmitted via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are picked up/transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Town of Dobson reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Any bid received after the designated bid closing time will be rejected and will not be opened. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid for failure to comply with all bidding requirements or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Town further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Town of Dobson.
