Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

A. The site is located on two City-owned parcels at 794 and 796 Parker Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The site is bordered to the north by City-owned parcels at 778 - 792 Parker Street and 77 Terrace Street. The site is bordered to the west by Parker Street and to the east by an existing stone, mortar, and brick retaining wall. At the base of the retaining wall is a private property located at 103 Terrace Street. The site is bordered to the south by 798 Parker Street which is privately owned. B. The site is currently undeveloped and secured with chain link fencing. There are trees throughout the site and several abandoned concrete foundations. Site topography slopes downwards from Parker Street towards the east to the existing retaining wall along the eastern boundary of the 794 and 796 Parker Street parcels. The wall height is approximately 17 feet and separates the site from the abutting private property at 103 Terrace Street. C. The work to be performed under this Contract includes site preparation, demolition of approximately 75 linear feet of the existing stone, mortar, and brick retaining wall bordering 794 and 796 Parker Street, construction of a new retaining wall, and management of excavated materials. Question Deadline 03/30/2026 Requests for interpretation or clarification, or proposals for any other modifications to the Bidding Documents, made orally or received less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the date of Bid opening will not be answered. Location - 794 & 796 PARKER STREE Parker Terrace Retaining Wall Project The Scope of Work Includes Partial Demolition and Replacement of a Retaining Wall. 5% Bid Deposits. Bidders Are Hereby Notified That Bid Deposits Must Be 5% of His/her Bid, and Shall Be in the Form of a Bid Bond, Or Certified Check, Treasurer's Check, or Cashier's Check and Made Payable to the City of Boston. The Attention of All Bidders is Directed to the Boston Residents Jobs Policy Section of the Specifications and the Obligation of the Contrac- Tor in the Performance of This Contract. Bidders Are Hereby Notified That This Project is Subject to M.g.l. C.30, 39m and in Accordance Contractors Must Pay Prevailing Wages as Set by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond Sat- Isfactory to the Awarding Authority, of a Surety Company Licensed To Do Business Under the Laws of the Commonwealth and Included On the U.s. Treasury Current List of Approved Sureties (See Circular 570), in the Sum of 100% of the Contract Price Will Be Required of The Successful Bidder. The Awarding Authority Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality In or to Reject Any and All Bids if It is in the Public Interest to Do So.
