GENERAL: o CONTRACTOR shall provide labor & materials o CONTRACTOR shall cover (protect) all adjacent furniture items from dust during demolition & all construction. o CONTRACTOR shall cover (protect) floors & finishes from dust during demolition and all construction. 1.2. HOME INTERIOR: 1.2.1. MASTER SHOWER: CONTRACTOR shall perform the following services: o Demolish and responsibly dispose of the following: o Bathroom shower wall tiles& floor tiles, durock cement boards,shower curve, shower floor mortar, shower pan liner, shower pan drain. o Remove & store existing grab bars for possible re-use after tile installation. o Remove & replace any water damaged metal studs and/or metal track. o Remove (enlarge) existing opening into shower and leave an opening dimension of thirty-six inches (36") to accommodate wheelchair access. o Verify and correct, if needed, all stud spacing (Shall be sixteen inches (16") OC). o Supply and install the following: o Shower wall tile from floor to ceiling: Like for Like o Shower floor tile (non-slip): Like for Like o Swing tempered glass shower door. The minimum opening dimension should be between 35" to 36" for wheelchair accessibility. o Shower pan liner and mud bead. Shower drain as per ADA requirementsfor proper slope. Cut concrete slab as needed to achieve proper slope towards new drain. o Folding shower seat per attached specifications(Attachment E - ADA Shower and Bench Seat Specifications) o Two (2) additional stainless steel grab bars (per ADA requirements and specifications) o Grab bars, shower seat, and shower fixtures shall all have required backing installed. o Eliminate one shower wall niche so shower valve & trim can be re-located. Enlarge (reframe) second wall niche on opposite wall. o Provide and install ADA approved shower fixtures: Manufacturer: Moen M-Dura 1.5 GPM Handshower Model: T9346GBM15 / Item: bci2915952 Color: Brush Nickel o Durock (per manufacturer'sspecifications). Use approved fasteners and apply liquid waterproof membrane over entire surface area of wall board. Manufacturer's fiber mesh material shall be installed at all joints including inside corners, at floor, and shower drain flange per manufacturer's specifications and Florida Building Code latest edition) o Relocate existing drain. Shower floor shall slope to drain per ADA standards for zero entry ADA shower. Install new drain as per ADA requirements for proper slope. o Paint entire shower ceiling and bath ceiling, two (2) coats. Paint bath walls as needed with Sherwin Williams brand paint, semi-gloss, color like-for-like. 1.2.2.
