Site work for a mixed-use development in Wichita, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade golf course.
This Request for Bid is for the removal of specified trees and their stumps within Sim Golf Course. There are approximately 80 trees to remove and grind stumps. (Exact number will be set at the pre-bid meeting) The bid price will include all debris removal and clean-up resulting from removing the tree and/or grinding the stump, surface roots to a minimum of 6" below grade, removing the stump chips to a minimum of 3" below grade and refilling the void with shredded topsoil leaving the topsoil tamped and mounded at 2-3 inches above grade to account for settling over time. This will result in an approximate 6" depth of topsoil to be in the center of the mounded area. Clean-up and soil applications should result in a clean surrounding area. Stump chips will be raked out of the turf area so that a minimum amount of chips are left in the turf and will be such a volume as to not impede turf growth due to the remaining chips. (Example: for turf that is healthy and mowed at 2+ inches, no chips should be visible from inside a passing vehicle.) Bare ground will be free of stump chips and any debris from the tree removal. Applied topsoil will be tamped and extend only to the border of the grinding area.
