Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of the replacement of the superstructure and rehabilitation of the abutments for Shelby Street over Pleasant Run and the replacement of the superstructure and partial replacement of abutments for Raymond Street over Pleasant Run. The project includes removal of the existing bridge decks, beams, and selected portions of the abutments and wingwalls, construction of new prestressed concrete I-beam superstructures, new bridge decks with sidewalk, railing, parapet, approach slabs, abutment modifications, grading, drainage improvements, minor channel work, resurfacing of approaches, pavement markings, and restoration of disturbed areas. Bidders are instructed to examine the plans and specifications, visit the project site, review all bid requirements, submit prequalification and proposal forms, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The participation goal for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) for this contract is fifteen percent (15%). The participation goal for Women Business Enterprise (WBE) for this contract is eight percent (8%). The participation goal for Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) is three percent (3%). The participation goal for Disability-owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) is one percent (1%) The Shelby Street Bridge project consists of rehabilitation of the existing earth filled arched bridge. Rehabilitation of the existing bridge includes patching and reconstructing a portion of the arch ring, along with replacing the spandrel walls, both sidewalks and bridge railings. The Raymond Street Bridge project consists of rehabilitation of the existing bridge. Rehabilitation of the existing bridge includes bridge deck overlay, replacement of a portion of the bridge deck, replacement of the approach slabs and patch substructure. Replacement of a portion of the trail under the bridge is also included in this project. Bridge No. 49-3202F *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
