Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Dallas, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade recreation facility; and for site work for a recreation facility.

https://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2026/01/09/5-projects-to-watch-southern-dallas.html Several major developments are currently underway in southern Dallas, aiming to revitalize the area through mixed-use spaces, green infrastructure, and community-focused hubs. As of early 2026, the following five projects are central to this transformation: University Hills: A $1 billion mixed-use development led by Hoque Global. Located on 270 acres at 7300 University Hills Blvd, it features thousands of homes, commercial buildings, and green spaces, with plans for a town center and a potential stadium. The Shops at Redbird: This project involves a $220 million redevelopment of the former Red Bird Mall into a vibrant mixed-use destination. The site now includes office space (housing Chime Solutions), medical facilities (UT Southwestern and Children's Health), and ongoing efforts to secure a major grocery tenant. Halperin Park (The Southern Gateway Public Green): A multimillion-dollar deck park being built over I-35E between Ewing and Marsalis avenues. Designed to reconnect Oak Cliff neighborhoods divided by the highway, the first phase is scheduled to open in Spring 2026. Rivulet Community (Russell Glen Co.): A 90-acre catalytic development at 6400 University Hills Blvd. The City Council approved a $23.5 million grant for this project, which aims to provide workforce housing and a dedicated grocery store for the community. Dallas Zoo Safari Habitat Trail: A $90 million expansion of the Dallas Zoo located at 650 South R.L. Thornton Freeway. The project will introduce a treehouse classroom, a flamingo habitat, and a unique joint habitat for cheetahs and rhinos. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Statement of Qualifications are required to be submitted electronically via the City of Dallas' solicitation website.
