Demolition Of Radar Equipment Building Location: Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BRMA), East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. Type: This project includes the complete demolition (including building slab) of a single-story building located in the airside portion of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The decommissioned building is a radar equipment building located on the World War II airstrip. The building is approximately 1,000 square feet not including the surrounding site improvements. All utilities shall be capped at the nearest branch point. The site shall be filled and left in a condition that mitigates erosion. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of bid and shall be made payable to the City of Baton Rouge. There is no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal set for this solicitation, but the BRMA encourages the use of DBE's certified under the Louisiana Unified Certification Program. All Bidders shall comply with all provisions of the State Licensing Law for Contractors, R.S. 37:2150-2163, as amended and all shall comply with all requirements of the Specifications which are hereby incorporated into and made part of this Advertisement. It shall also be the sole responsibility of bidders to ensure that all subcontractors fully comply with applicable law and bidding requirements. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Rigging, House Moving, Wrecking and Dismantling. The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to disqualify any bidder, to the fullest extent allowed by law. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212, the provisions and requirements of law, those stated in this Advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
