As of January 26, 2026, the Board of Supervisors decided to reject all bids and not award a contract for this ITB. Northumberland County is requesting sealed bids for the removal of two mobile classrooms. Bids must be clearly marked as "Bid Enclosed- Mobile Classroom Removal" and submitted to the County Administrator's Office at 72 Monument Pl., P.O. Box 129, Heathsville, VA 22473. Bidders are to mail or deliver one original and six copies of the bid before the specified opening time. All bids must be signed in ink by authorized principals and submitted in sealed envelopes. Bids will be opened promptly at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 15, 2025, in the County Administrator's Office. It is the vendor's responsibility to ensure timely delivery to the receiving location. Northumberland County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The successful bidder will be required to maintain insurance to protect Northumberland County from claims under the Workers' Compensation Act and other claims for damage or injury arising from operations under this contract. The contents of the successful bid and bid specifications will become part of any contract awarded. No Plan Holders List will be provided. No estimate/budget available. The intent of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to solicit sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors for the removal and proper disposal of two (2) mobile classroom units located on County property at 2172 Northumberland Highway, Lottsburg, VA 22511.
