Two Phase Selection Process: This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested respondents. The second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified respondents to provide a financial and technical bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings which will be accessible through SAP Ariba. The qualification list will expire upon award of a contract in Phase Two and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. Work Description: The eastern bank of the Liard River at Km 780 along the Alaska Highway is showing signs of accelerated degradation. Prolonged weather events have contributed to increased peak flows and flow velocities causing scour and streambed erosion and threatening the integrity of the highways shoulders at this location. The current project aims to re-align the Alaska Highway further east and away from the Liard River. The services required under this contract include, but are not limited to the following: Design-build engineering services, Traffic management, Site grubbing and stripping, Common excavation, Excavation including ditch construction, subgrade preparation, and slope stabilization if required, Removal, supply, and replacement of CSP culverts, Rock excavation including blasting, scaling, and rock slope stabilization, Supply of aggregates which may include aggregate production, Supply and placement of subgrade fill, granular subbase, crushed gravel, and Class 3 BST for the new road surface, Milling of BST and hauling offsite, Highway line painting and sign installations, Topsoil placement and hydraulic seeding.
