The scope of work for this project includes the installation of generators at four (4) water facilities, including slab construction, anchorage, grading, and diesel particulate filter retrofit work. It also includes electrical and instrumentation improvements such as installation of automatic transfer switches, electrical and communications conduits and wiring, generator start-up, and acceptance testing. In addition, the project includes landscape modifications, including relocation of a valve box with a new irrigation control valve and installation of screening shrubs. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, Bidders shall be licensed as "Class A", "Class C10", or "Class C8 " and provide their California State Contractor's License numbers to the City. In addition, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
