The project is expected to be awarded on January 12, 2026.** The work to be performed includes the construction of sidewalk and roadway widening from Smokey Point Boulevard to Hayho Creek. It involves grading, installation of a vegetated faced geosynthetic wall, and storm drainage facilities. The project includes intersection improvements at 39th Avenue NE such as curb ramps, curb and gutter, pavement restoration, hardscape/landscape features, and pavement marking. A new pedestrian traffic signal is to be installed at 156th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard, along with a new illumination system along the corridor, and the installation of landscape and irrigation improvements, plus any other work necessary to complete the project. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and be completed in accordance with the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the opening or before contract award, unless said award is delayed for a period of forty-five (45) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in its best interest. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
