Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Cole Camp, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The proposed work includes the removal of the existing bridge and replacement with a 55-foot precast concrete slab beam bridge. Additional work consists of minor roadway work, installation of guardrail, riprap, permanent erosion control, and other incidental work as specified in the plans and specifications. Bidders must submit hard copy bids and purchase digital plans and specifications through Great River Engineering to be listed as planholders. All contractors must adhere to prevailing wage rates as established by both the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the United States Department of Labor, applying the higher of the two rates. Bidders must also be on MoDOTs Qualified Contractor List and have a contractor questionnaire on file seven days before bid opening. A 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or department-approved equivalent, must be completed by on-site employees of contractors and subcontractors within sixty days of the project start. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. No 2nd tier subcontracting is permitted.
