Demolition and renovation of a multi-residential development in Greenville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a two-unit multi-residential development.
Scope of work consists of selective demolition to two separate residential, duplex buildings at 1900 W. 3rd Street and 1614 Hopkins Drive and includes, but is not limited to: removal of hazardous materials; interior and exterior selective demolition as noted on the drawings; all other work as required in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Bidders must have a complete and full understanding of the Scope of Work. Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the buildings, as they have been vacant for approximately two years, presenting potential environmental and microbial hazards, and one building has structural damage from a fallen tree. Entry is at contractors' own risk. Contractors must have proper licensing and certification as required by state law and the RRP Rules for disturbing lead based paint. The Prime Contractor must provide proof of required certifications prior to bidding or the bid will be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by either a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price. Performance and payment bonds, or a 25% letter of credit, are required for bids over $100,000. Payment will be made on ninety percent (90%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance. Bids may be delivered in person, by mail, or uploaded electronically via the specified secure Sharefile system with detailed instructions provided. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Late bids will not be accepted, and no bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after closing time. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Locations: 1900 W. 3rd Street 1614 Hopkins Drive 1. Provide removal of hazardous materials. 2. Provide interior and exterior selective demolition as noted on the drawings. 3. Provide all other work as required in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com.
