As of November 21, 2025, an engineer has been selected, and this project is in the early design phase. Design is expected to be completed in late June 2027. A firm timeline for start of construction has not been determined, however, construction is expected to be completed by December 31, 2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The selected firms shall use recently completed orphan well referral data to conduct final design and prepare construction documents for the identified orphan wells. The final design will include assessments of geologic, hydrogeologic, civil/site, radiological, safety, and environmental conditions at each well site. The selected firms shall apply for and obtain all necessary regulatory permits, provide topographic surveys, assist DOGRM with obtaining property right of entry for construction activities, maintain current estimates of probable construction costs through the design phase, and assist with bidding and construction administration services. All work shall be performed in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including Ohio Oil and Gas Rules and Regulations. This process will be repeated several times during the project depending on the number of wells and packages to be performed during the duration of the contract. The selected Architect/Engineer (A/E), as a portion of their required Scope of Services and prior to submitting their proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements.
