As of February 2026, this project will not begin until June of 2026. The project involves the prequalification process for first tier suppliers interested in bidding on the Cabarrus County DSS Mechanical Equipment Direct Purchase Package. This package includes the direct purchase of mechanical equipment that will support future construction packages of a renovation project serving as the new DSS facility in Cabarrus County. Participation of DBE firms is highly encouraged. Bids from contractors that are not prequalified will not be opened or considered for the project. Pre-qualification requirements: Interested bidders must submit their prequalification forms by 5:00 pm on December 5th, 2025, to be considered for approval. Only prequalified contractors will be allowed to submit bids.
