The City of Newton is soliciting proposals from General Contractors with RRP certification for one (1) home rehabilitation located at N. Rankin Avenue, Newton. The City of Newton has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. This Re-Bid job consists of 2 trees to be removed; exterior girder replaced; guttering; installation of new windows (working with the Lead Abatement Contractor); installation of exterior doors; electrical upgrades; plumbing work; HVAC work; floor covering; interior painting as well as other carpentry work. Any questions regarding the bid documents must be directed in writing via e-mail at laurie.powell@wpcog.org . The City of Newton encourages small and minority owned businesses to bid on their projects. There are no pre-bid or mandatory meetings for this job, but it is the responsibility of the General Contractor to make arrangements with the homeowner to visit the site to submit a bid The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities as may be permitted by law.
