Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The work includes the construction of an intersection for the Lafayette Steele Site along SR 38. The scope involves HMA and concrete pavement, curbing, signal modification, preemption signage, conduit, railroad coordination, storm sewer, detention basins, and pavement markings and signage. Work must comply with the Bidding Documents, Specifications, and Construction Drawings. Bids are to be executed on Form No. 96 (Revised 2013), accompanied by the Project Bid Proposal Form and a financial statement dated within four months prior to bidding. An acceptable Cashier's Check or bond of not less than five percent of the bid amount from a qualified surety company is required. Federal wage rates apply per current Federal Wage Decision. The awarded contractor must furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond each for 100 percent of the contract price. Bids must remain valid for ninety days. The city reserves the right to retain all bids for up to ninety days, waive informalities, reject any or all bids, or award the contract in the city's best interest.
