The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma is requesting qualifications from Architecture/Engineer (AE) firms for a bridge replacement project under the Federal Highway Administration, Department of Transportation, Tribal Transportation Facility Bridge Program (TTFBP). The selected AE will be responsible for: performing programming and necessary project studies for the site, coordinating with involved parties (notably as the site is on the Kansas/Oklahoma state line), providing a fully designed construction package (to include plans, site/project-specific technical specifications, and construction estimates) to TTFBP requirements, supplying a line-item construction estimate for the approved design package, and offering professional oversight and presence during construction in coordination with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) throughout the construction process. New and replacement structures must meet geometric, construction, and structural standards for the projected traffic volumes and design life, consistent with federal requirements. A one-year warranty after completion is required, including a walkthrough with the contractor, USACE, and Owner 12 months post-completion. The project design estimate is $100,000-$200,000. Email submissions are required by the specified deadline, including all evaluation criteria items in order. Six hard copies are also required. AE team selection is based on qualifications and experience in bridge design using Federal Highway Administration guidelines, proposed completion schedule and milestones, experience with bridge and civil design across state lines, verifiable Indian Preference, proof of business insurance and bonding capacity, and SAM.gov registration without exclusions. Additional requirements include payment and performance bonds at contracting, a certificate of liability insurance naming the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, and no official pre-submission visit or additional questions accepted.
