The city of cleveland is seeking proposals for lawn maintenance for facilities, parks, medians, street right-of-way, and beautification areas in specified locations in and around the city of cleveland. a. Finish mowing, edging and trimming all turf areas including sports field. b. Clear all hardscape areas and remove all excess grass clippings. c. Maintain hardscape areas and the fences with herbicide to keep free ofweeds. d. Maintain all flower beds at Gateway sign. e. Removal of all light branches and debris. f. HERBICIDE USE Spring and fall preparation is to include herbicide application for preand post-emergent control of broad leafw'eeds and weeds. The Contractor will be required to use pre- or post- emergent herbicides to eliminate any weed problems. The Contractor will be liable for damage to plants which result from the application of herbicides. g. SPRAYING PESTICIDES/FUNG1CIDES the application ofpesticides or fungicides may be necessary ifturf areas become diseased, suffer from insect infestation, or suffer any other related problem. Ifthe Contractor finds an insect or disease problem, the Contractor will meet with the City to determine corrective measures, including the application ofpesticides or fungicides. The Contractor is required to have a pesticide applicators license. The City Hall, Library, Civic Center, Cleveland Memorial Cemetery, Cleveland Memorial Gardens, Right of Way, Municipal Park must be treated annually (and spot treated as needed) to prevent fire ants Timing and Frequency. Bids should be for 42/43 cuts per year at the following frequency: a. Weekly maintenance from Mid-March until end of October. b. Bi-Weekly maintenance from November until Mid-March. c. If grounds are too saturated to maintain on schedule, the cutting may be made up when grounds are suitable for equipment to operate on without causing any ruts or damage to turf. Must perform 42/43 cuts per year.
