Missouri's National Veterans Memorial (MNVM), Perryville, Missouri, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) firms for preconstruction and construction services related to the development of a new Bell Tower Memorial. The project includes coordination with MNVM's consultant, The Verdin Bell Company, and construction of a memorial structure utilizing MNVM's historic bell set. The selected CMR will provide cost estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, bidding services, subcontractor procurement, open book costing, and full construction management through project completion. Missouri Prevailing Wage applies. The project is tax-exempt. A 100% Performance and Payment Bond will be required. BELL & CLOCK TOWER: Verdin agrees to supply and install for Purchaser one Bell & Clock Tower. The Tower shall measure approximately fifty-five (55) feet tall and shall consist of four vertical steel columns in an open frame. In addition, the tower will support and display three swinging bells with internal clappers. The main column supports shall be fabricated from 12 x 12 x 5/16-inch structural steel tubing topped with 8 x 8 inch structural steel open framed roof members. The overall footprint of the tower base shall be approximately 12 feet x 12 feet. The overall tower structure shall be painted in a textured finish utilizing high grade type paint with color to be chosen by customer. Each bell deck and the clock deck will have bar grating to facilitate future service of the bells and clocks. Steel ladders will run up the tower, starting at the first bell deck. One high-quality LED light will be mounted on each leg above each bell, shining downward to illuminate the bells at night (12 LEDs total). CAST BRONZE BELLS: The Purchaser has three (3) cast bronze bells that were donated to and now owned by Missouri's National Veterans Memorial and are currently stored at the Verdin Company Only the highest-ranked firms will be invited to interviews.
