Sealed bids for the Phase 7 Roof Replacement at Carl Sandburg High School will be received by the School Board, Consolidated High School District 230. Lump Sum bid proposals will be accepted and each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft in an amount equal to and not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the School Board. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening date. Successful bidders must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. Bids should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive any irregularities or informalities. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. Each bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process described in Section 010000-General Requirements of the Project Manual by providing the required Qualification Documents, which must be submitted with the sealed bid. Bidding documents can be obtained electronically and reproduced at the bidder's expense from Cross Rhodes Reprographics. A mandatory pre-bid meeting walk-through for prime contractors will be held at Sandburg High School. After the meeting, all should visit the site to view the areas of work, gather additional information, and ask specific questions. There will be only one scheduled walk-through. Non-attendance can be grounds for rejection of bid. Question Deadline 12/05/2025 Submit requests for interpretation of the documents in writing to the Architect.
