Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Marco Island, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is designing improvements to Caxambas Court Bridge in Collier County. This project is intended to replace the 1973 bridge and enhance the structural integrity and incorporate current design standards, along with improving drainage, safety, new signage, striping, and pavement. Proposed improvements also consist of milling and resurfacing of the roadway and upgrades in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that include six-foot wide sidewalks. As of June 26, 2026, this project is in the design phase. Design is expected to be completed in September with bidding to follow in March of 2027.
