The Houston County School District/Board of Education is seeking bids for the supply and installation of a new canopy for Rehobeth High School. Award will be made to the most responsive bidder offering a proposal that is deemed the most acceptable and advantageous to the Houston County School System. All awarded contracts are contingent upon approval of the Houston County Board of Education. No consideration will be given to any claims based on a lack of knowledge of existing conditions. Sealed bids must be submitted prior to the bid opening at the Houston County School District Board of Education Maintenance Department, with the envelope/container marked as "Bid 2025-2026/7 RHS Canopy" and "Sealed Bid DO NOT OPEN" across or near the seal. No faxed or electronic bids will be accepted. Failure to provide the information requested in the RFP in the requested format is reason for rejection, without consideration. It is the bidder's responsibility to check for modifications, addendums to the bid request, and any posted Q&A documents periodically and before submitting a bid. Scope of work : o Supply and install new canopy behind Rehobeth High School Vocational Building this canopy is to be attached , supported and sealed along existing building as a lean-to style canopy o Fascia to be .100-gauge extruded aluminum 4 inches wide by 7 1/2 inch deep. All corners to be mitered and locked together with 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2 " aluminum angle sealed with silicone. Outside corners to be cover by 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2 " trim angle. o Roof decking to be .032 thickness roll former aluminum panels. Panels to be 3" risers by 12" o Columns to be 4"x4"x .125 square extruded aluminum. Columns to have poured concrete bollards 48 " high 8"x by 8" square with rebar to protect from vehicular traffic o Panel color white o Extrusion color clear anodized.
