Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Chicago, Illinois. Working plans call for the construction of a 121,818-square-foot, 105-space fitness / recreation center; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
One Lawndale Recreation Center, a new recreational facility planned for 3901 W. Cermak in Chicago, has received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission, marking a significant step forward for the project. Project will serve both North Lawndale and nearby Little Village. The center will feature a range of athletic and community amenities, including indoor turf fields, basketball courts, and fitness spaces. Notable Features: Two indoor 60-yard turf fields, five full-size basketball courts, boxing and fitness room, wrestling studio, community room, concessions/bar area, pro shop, offices, 83 visitor parking spaces, 22 employee parking spaces, bike parking, sport-themed timeline-style murals, precast concrete paneling with translucent panels, aluminum and glass storefront. The development will also include sport-themed murals and ample parking, enhancing both the facility and the surrounding neighborhood. As of December 16, 2025, construction expected to begin after financial closing in summer 2026 and completion targeted for fall 2027.
