Site work and new construction of a power facility in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade power facility.
Sealed bids for furnishing a 34.5 – 12.47 / 7.2 kV switching station for the City of Elizabeth City, North Carolina are requested. Bidders must submit a certified check or cashier’s check payable to the City or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed in North Carolina in an amount equal to five percent of the total bid price with each bid. Bid proposals may not be withdrawn for ninety days after receipt. The bid deposit or bond will be retained if the successful bidder does not execute the contract or provide required performance bonds within ten days of the award. The successful bidder must furnish a separate one hundred percent Performance Bond, which will remain in effect for one year after final acceptance of the project by the City. Contract and Performance Bonds forms are included as part of the documents but should not be completed at the proposal submission stage. The City encourages participation by minority business enterprises and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept any combination of proposals in the best interest of the City.
