Renovation of a multi-residential development in Carterville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
Sealed bids are requested for the Renovation of Humphreys Manor under Modernization Program No.s IL01P050-501-24 and IL01P050-501-25 at Project IL-50-18/Carterville in Williamson County, Illinois. Bids must be submitted in a single lump sum. Proposal forms and contract documents, including plans and specifications, are available at the Housing Authority office and the office of the architect. The contract documents are also filed at several plan rooms. Full copies may be obtained from the architect by depositing a specified check, refundable upon return of documents in good condition within fourteen days following the bid opening. Partial sets may be purchased at the cost of photocopying and shipping. All bids must include a negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, with sureties authorized to do business in the state and acceptable to the Government. Bids without a proper bid guarantee will be rejected. Proposals must be made on unaltered forms provided, with all blanks completed and must be properly signed. For corporations, the legal name and state of incorporation must be listed, and an authorized officer must sign. The successful bidder must provide satisfactory performance and payment bonds as specified. Compliance with minimum salary and wage requirements, as outlined in the specifications, is required. Any state wage rate higher than the corresponding federal rate is not applicable. Each bid must include Contractor's Affirmative Action Certification and the HUD-5369-A form for Representations, Certifications and Other Statements of Bidders. Bidders are required to examine the documents and construction site to ascertain existing conditions, as no extra payment will be made for site conditions that could have been determined by such examination. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities, and no bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening without consent. Question Deadline 01/06/2026 at 5:00 PM CT Deadline for questions ny prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing. The only oral clarifications that will be provided will be those clearly related to solicitation procedures, i.e., not substantive technical information.
