Renovation of a transportation facility in Fairview Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade transportation facility.

The work site is located at Capital City Executive Airport in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The contractor shall complete all work as specified or indicated. The construction scope of work includes, but is not limited to, tower renovations which are classified as a level 1 alteration. Activities include replacing the fire alarm system, replacing lighting fixtures, replacing electrical distribution systems, adding window shades to the control cab, and replacing two metal ceilings with acoustical ceiling grids. All building occupancies, egress paths and building exits are to remain as existing along with other work indicated. The contractor is responsible for all temporary facilities required to complete the work, including arrangements for temporary power and water, and site lighting. The contractor must also provide all dumpsters and containers for waste, ensure fire protection of the work and staging areas, and is responsible for all OSHA and life safety requirements. Additionally, the contractor must coordinate work with airport operations and other contractors to prevent delay or interference with airport functions. Off-hour work may be required and must be factored into the bid. All other requirements necessary for performance of the work as specified are the contractor's responsibility. Instructions to bidders include: All bids must be submitted online via PennBid. Each bid must include evidence of the bidder's qualifications and financial responsibility. Bidders must thoroughly examine contract documents and visit the site to become familiar with conditions affecting the work. Bidders must also comply with all applicable laws and coordinate site visits through the designated SARAA representative. Any ambiguities or issues found in bid documents must be reported before bid submission. Bids must remain open for sixty days, and withdrawal or revision is allowed only under specified conditions. The successful bidder must furnish required bonds and sign agreements promptly after notification of award. The owner retains the right to change the quantity and nature of work, reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and issue addenda as needed.
