The work of this project includes: Replace Bridge deck waterproofing, install new deck drainage system, & paint steel beams, connect to storm sewer system, and repair concrete delamination under the bridge. The Work for this Project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. At Bridge 6663, the CONTRACTOR will salvage and make removals on the bridge deck, prepare the steel deck plates, provide a new deck expansion joint, provide deck waterproofing and sloped ballast mat, provide longitudinal ballast drains, provide new end of deck drainage system, provide new embankment and trail paving, install salvaged materials, and provide new railings all as detailed in the Plan. 2. Additionally, at the underdeck area of Bridge 6663, the CONTRACTOR will provide a complete drainage system, prepare and paint the steel elements of the superstructure, make repairs to the concrete substructures, provide metal railing at the abutments, provide pyramid bollards at the piers, provide electrical lighting luminaires, and object marker signage all as detailed in the Plan. 3. The CONTRACTOR will supply the necessary traffic control and obtain permitting from MnDOT, Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis, Metro Transit, and any other permitting organizations.4. Hours of construction for work below the deck will be defined by traffic control permit restrictions. 5. The Blue Line LRT will be shut down and the OCS de-energized and the CONTRACTOR will have access to the NB and SB LRT track bays during this shut down.
